Types of Hair Packaging
There are two main types of packaging for hair extensions. The first is a box style as shown in the image below. The box style comes with an thick insert which attaches the hair to it using twisty ties. The twisty ties are available in a variety of colors. The insert slides into the box. A hang tab is available for hanging in store displays.
The second type of packaging is a plastic enclosure as shown in the image below.
There are three main components to this type of packaging.
The header with grommet (Pink area at the top of this image with the hole in it for hanging). Usually printed on both sides and sealed inside the plastic enclosure.
The actual insert which is available in a variety of colors and shapes. It is usually printed front and back and has a fold over flap to hide where the hair is attached.
The third part of the packaging that is required is the actual plastic enclosure. TIP: Some people opt to use a Ziplock type plastic bag when they are starting out.
There are optional components too. One that is common is a hang tag which can hold product information and attaches to the hair.
Another type of packaging more suitable for wigs is a larger version of the header enclosed in plastic. For more upscale wig packaging, we recommend the use of a box.

There are two components to the price of packaging. The first is our design pricing which is what we specialize in. The second component is the actual printing cost.
Design of Hair Packaging
Our DESIGN pricing depends on the following:
- Do you have a logo? If you do not we can design one for you. We fill out a questionnaire with you to see what type of logo you would like. Check out our logo portfolio for samples. If you do already have a logo, but are not happy with it, we would be glad to offer a logo makeover.
- What types of items will you be packaging - lace wigs, hair extensions, both or something else?
- Would you like to go with a box style or plastic enclosure style of packaging?
- How many lengths of hair will you be packaging? TIP: Usually you can bundle hair lengths together. For example a 15 inch box can fit hair lengths that are 8 inches to 14 inches.
- How soon would you like the turn around?

Price of PRINTING depends on a variety of factors.
- What quantity of packaging you will be producing in each length of packaging?
- TIP: Usually you can bundle hair lengths together. For example a 15 inch box can fit hair lengths that are 8 inches to 14 inches.
- Where you will be producing the packaging (USA, China, Europe)? We have contacts around the world that can print your packaging and would be happy to refer you to them once you have your design completed.
- How soon do you need the packaging? If you are not in a rush, China may be your best printing solution as they offer the cheapest printing pricing.
- What type of packaging will you be producing?
- Box style
- Plastic enclosure with header, insert and optional hang tag.
- Printers like to see the final design (or close to it) to be able to quote.
